Al Shethri Elected Chair of Saudi Committee for Labor Market; Al Mohammadi as Vice Chair

The Saudi Committee for Labor Market at the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) held its first meeting in its second session, with participation of its CSC-elected members and CSC Secretary General Dr. Saud Al Meshari.

The meeting saw the election of Eng. Mansour Al Shethri as Chairperson of the committee, with Majd Al Mohammadi as its Vice Chairperson. The meeting touched on key topics pertaining to the labor market, and proposed plans for the committee’s current session.

The newly-elected members thanked their colleagues for the trust bestowed upon them, promising to dedicate their efforts to further enhance the role of the committee in addressing labor market issues, locally, regionally, and internationally.

Dr. Al Meshari wished the elected members success in their endeavors, and stressed that it is a critical time for the committee to enhance its cooperation with related bodies in the Kingdom to help achieve the Saudi Vision 2030.

It is worth noting that the Saudi Committee for Labor Market includes representatives of several local and international bodies, including Saudi Chambers of Commerce, the International Labor Organization (ILO), and ILO’s Employers’ Organizations.

The committee aims at enhancing cooperation between the business sector and government agencies and regional and international organizations, in addition to proposing laws and regulations related to the labor market; recommending plans, programs and projects; and studying reports referred to it concerning labor market affairs and their impact on the Saudi business sector.
