CSC and Polish Delegation Discuss Trade Relations

The Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) hosted a Polish delegation representing various sectors to discuss trade cooperation with their Saudi counterpart at the CSC premises in Riyadh. The meeting was attended by CSC Secretary General Dr. Saud Al Meshari, the Vice Chairperson of Poland’s Chamber of Commerce, and Chargé d’Affaires of the Polish Embassy in Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Al Meshari noted the timing of the delegation’s visit, which coincided with significant developments in the Kingdom in light of the Saudi Vision 2030, which offers various investment opportunities that the Polish business community can utilize. He pointed to the advantages of the economic environment in the Kingdom the opportunities that came along with the National Transformation Program 2020 and Saudi Vision 2030. Al Meshari additionally shed light on the structural ecosystem of the Saudi business community, represented in CSC and 28 chambers of commerce across the Kingdom, expressing CSC’s readiness to assist in any capacity to foster economic relations between the two countries.

The Vice Chairperson of Poland’s Chamber of Commerce stated that his country is undergoing rapid economic growth, and is keen on creating economic relations with Saudi Arabia, pointing to the economic capabilities of Poland and its strategic location at the center of Europe. In addition to its EU and WTO membership, and attractive investment environment, noting that FDIs were estimated at around EUROS 159 billion in 2016. He additionally shed light on activities of the Polish Chamber of Commerce, founded in 1990, which is a member of the European Chamber of Commerce in Brussels, and International Chamber of Commerce in Paris, as part of its efforts to foster the Polish business community’s relations with its counterpart worldwide.

The Chargé d’Affaires of the Polish Embassy in Saudi Arabia commended the role of CSC in fostering trade and investment relations between the two countries, expressing hope for the meeting to be a starting point for new opportunities.

The meeting included B2Bs between Saudi and Polish business representatives to seek partnership opportunities between the two sides.
