Chairperson of the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) Eng. Ahmed Al Rajhi led the 87th meeting of the executive committee of CSC, and CSC’s 94th board meeting, hosted by the Taif Chamber of Commerce at the Intercontinental Hotel.

Attendees included CSC Vice Chairpersons Dr. Sami Al Obaidy and Muneer bin Saad, CSC Secretary General Dr. Saud Al Meshari, and officials and representatives of Saudi chambers of commerce. The meetings discussed issues concerning fostering the role of the private sector in the economic and social development process.

Eng. Al Rajhi stated that the board meeting agenda included a number of topics, mainly the approval of CSC’s budget for the year 2018, reviewing the report on following up and implementing the development initiatives, discussing regulations of CSC’s executive committee, and discussing unifying official holidays for CSC and chambers of commerce.

Al Rajhi stressed the importance of these meetings, whose decisions will enhance the Saudi business community and enable it to play its role as a strategic partner to the government sector in line with the Saudi Vision 2030. He expressed his appreciation for the Taif Chamber of Commerce for hosting the meetings and accompanying program, extending his regards to representatives of chambers of commerce for attending these key meetings which aim at elevating the business community and chambers of commerce.

The CSC Chairperson stated that holding these meetings in Taif comes as part of CSC’s philosophy in holding its meetings alternately in chambers of commerce across the Kingdom to strengthen relations with their members, and simultaneously, enhance investment and development opportunities across the Kingdom’s various regions. These meetings usually include field trips to review the capabilities of each tourist and investment region and meet with their officials.

It is worth noting that the program accompanying the meetings included a reception for CSC’s Chairperson and board members under the auspices of Taif Governor Saad bin Megbel Al Maymoni. It was attended by 200 Saudi business people and reviewed around 60 promising investment opportunities in Taif.
