CSC and Ministry of Health Discuss Cooperation in Private Health Sector

The executive taskforce for the 2030 opportunities program at the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) led by Eng. Mohammed Al Khushail met with Assistant Undersecretary for Healthcare Investment Development at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Fayad Al Dandashi, where the two sides discussed cooperation to help implement the Saudi Vision 2030.

Al Dandashi expressed the Ministry of Health’s keenness on fostering investments in the healthcare sector and involving the private sector more effectively in it so as to elevate its services across the various regions of the Kingdom. He added that the Ministry works in line with the Saudi Vision 2030 in terms of providing promising opportunities for investors and facilitating obstacles hindering them.

Al Dandashi shed light on the Ministry of Health’s endeavors to support the private sector and increase its contribution to the healthcare sector, noting the vast opportunities it offers in pharmaceutical services, health centers, and rehabilitation. He stated that the Ministry formed a specialized unit to support SMEs, in addition to a business center that aims to bridge the gap between the Ministry of Health and the private sector, and facilitate their exchange of information in regards to relevant opportunities, licensing, and complaints. He welcomed the opportunity to sign a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Health and CSC concerning the 2030 opportunities program.

The Assistant Undersecretary said the Ministry welcomes all interested investors to submit their projects as part of its efforts to foster investment in the private healthcare sector.

For his part, Al Khushail gave a presentation on the 2030 opportunities program and the goals it sets to achieve and mechanisms to achieve them, adding that the Ministry of Health is a main partner in this initiative. He praised the spirit of cooperation from the Ministry’s officials, namely Mr. Al Dandashi, which he noted will have a positive impact on the performance of the private sector and its contribution to the national economic development process.
