CSC Chairperson and Saudi Ambassador to Afghanistan Discuss Economic Relations

Chairperson of the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) Eng. Ahmed Al Rajhi received in his office His Excellency Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Afghanistan Jassim Al Khaldi where the two discussed economic relations between the two countries.

Eng. Al Rajhi noted during the meeting the significant role of the Saudi and Afghanistan business communities in fostering bilateral trade and investment by exchanging information on the latest opportunities in both markets, exploring joint ventures, and proposing recommendations to improve the economic cooperation environment. Al Rajhi praised the Saudi government’s keenness on supporting the Saudi business community, as reflected in the Kingdom’s representatives abroad. He encouraged expanding the scope of cooperation between the two countries to include the industry, agriculture, services, infrastructure, energy, and water sectors. Al Rajhi added that Saudi Arabia possesses the capabilities to invest in these sectors, and called for Saudi investors’ involvement in development projects in Afghanistan.

For His part, The Saudi Ambassador expressed readiness to cooperate with CSC to serve the Saudi business community and push Saudi-Afghanistan relations forward, stressing that joint efforts are necessary to explore investment opportunities in both countries, which requires delegation exchanges and bilateral meetings. He described his visit to CSC as part of the Saudi Embassy’s efforts to foster economic relations between the two countries, and its keenness on supporting the Saudi business community and its institutions in this regard, adding that he looks forward to more developments in the upcoming period.
