CSC Secretary General and Mexico Ambassador Discuss Economic Cooperation

Secretary General of the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) Dr. Saud Al Meshari received in his office His Excellency, Mexican Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Alfredo Miranda where the two discussed economic relations between the two countries.

Dr. Al Meshari noted the robust Saudi-Mexican relations, adding that it is important to maintain fostering them, especially on the economic and investment fronts. He shed light on the vast Saudi market and the increasing role of the private sector in it following the launching of the Saudi Vision 2030, whose plans bring along promising opportunities for foreign investors. The Secretary General expressed CSC’s readiness to assist Mexican investors in any capacity in this regard.

For his part, the Mexican Ambassador conveyed Mexico’s interest in fostering bilateral relations with the Kingdom, and exploring the Saudi market, adding that Mexico possesses expertise in the industrial sector, particularly, in automotive. He additionally shed light on the various opportunities for joint ventures in vital sectors, emphasizing keenness on maintaining and fostering relations between the two countries.

The meeting touched on the visit of His Excellency, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto to Saudi Arabia two years ago during which his accompanying delegation met with Saudi businesspeople to discuss fostering bilateral trade relations. Al Meshari noted that fostering these relations is a priority on CSC’s agenda, as per the two countries’ endeavors.

The meeting additionally discussed preparations for a high-level Mexican delegation representing Mexico’s Investment Promotion Agency to Saudi Arabia to further enhance trade and investment relations between the two countries.
