CSC Secretary General & Czech Ambassador Discuss Economic Relations

Secretary General of the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) Dr. Saud Al Meshari received in his office His Excellency the Czech Republic Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Berry Slavic, where the two discussed fostering trade and investment relations between the two countries.

Dr. Al Meshari stated that it is important for Saudi investors to explore opportunities in the Czech market, and at the same time encouraged Czech business owners to take advantage of the investment environment in Saudi Arabia post-Saudi Vision 2030, shedding light on the ambitious initiative and the projects it brings along. Al Meshari expressed CSC’s readiness to assist the Czech side in any capacity in this regard.

For his part, the Czech Ambassador conveyed his country’s keenness on seeking new markets in the Middle East, especially the Saudi market as the largest and most robust in the region. He commended Saudi Arabia’s capabilities on the industrial and foodstuffs fronts, expressing that he looks forward to more delegation exchanges between the two sides to increase bilateral trade and investments. Mr. Slavic highlighted the vital sectors in the Czech Republic, including tourism, industries, agriculture, and various medical services, noting the significant number of Saudi tourists and students in the Czech Republic in recent years.

The meeting touched on increasing bilateral meetings in both countries, starting with a Saudi business delegation set to visit the Czech Republic next February. It also discussed allowing investors on both sides access to information pertaining to the latest opportunities and needs in both markets. The two sides additionally discussed accelerating the process of forming joint ventures.
