CSC Chairperson and Afghanistan Ambassador Discuss Economic Cooperation

Chairperson of the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) Eng. Ahmed Al Sulaiman received in his office HE Afghanistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Sayed Jalal Karim, where the two discussed ways to foster trade and investment relations between the two countries.

Eng. Al Rajhi noted the distinguished relations between Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan, and shed light on the investment environment in the Kingdom, particularly post-Saudi Vision 2030, which offers great incentives for Afghani investors to be part of the economic development process, expressing CSC’s readiness to assist investors in any capacity in this regard.

For his part, the Afghanistan Ambassador conveyed his country’s interest in fostering economic relations with the Kingdom, pointing to the significant impact of the Afghani President’s visit to the Kingdom last May on the two countries’ relations. He touched on the current stability in Afghanistan and the efforts exerted by supportive countries to achieve economic development in it. In addition to the signed agreement with international investors in various fields.

The meeting reviewed investment and cooperation opportunities in Afghanistan, in the fields of agriculture, gas, gold, foodstuffs, and packaging and plastic Industries.

Moreover, the meeting suggested organizing an Afghani business delegation trip to Saudi Arabia to review the investment opportunities in it, organizing an investment forum in Afghanistan, and signing an MoU between CSC and Afghanistan’s Chamber of Commerce to foster cooperation between the business communities in the two countries.
